What To Expect At Your Visit

Initial Conversation

To start things off, one of our doctors will discuss with you our cosmetic options and come up with a personalized treatment plan that will best fit your cosmetic needs and desires.

First Appointment

For at home whitening we will take impressions of your teeth and we will create custom-made whitening trays in our in-office lab.

Delivery

Once your whitening trays are complete, we will call you and provide you with instructions on how to get optimal results. It may take a few weeks to see whitening results.

Preventive Dentistry

Proper at-home hygiene practices, like brushing twice a day and flossing at least once a day, can help keep your teeth and gums free from decay and other dental health issues giving you a healthy, beautiful smile. This alone may not be enough, attending routine 6-month cleanings and oral exams at our office also allow us to track your oral health and address any minor problems with your oral health before they become major ones.

What To Expect At Your Visit

X-Rays

If you’re new to our office or haven’t had dental x-rays in a while, we will recommend getting x-rays of all your teeth before your cleaning appointment. These dental x-rays let us see what’s going on beneath the surface, giving us the ability to find issues that may not be visible otherwise.

Professional Cleaning

During your cleanings we will start with removing any plaque and tartar that may have built up along your gum line. We’ll then polish your teeth, and thoroughly floss between your teeth in all those hard-to-reach places, leaving you feeling refreshed and excited to smile again.

Comprehensive Exam

One of our doctors will review your x-rays and thoroughly examine your teeth and gums. If we spot any issues, we will take time to explain how to prevent any further issues, and come up with a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs and desires.

What To Expect At Your Visit

X-Rays & Exam

If you’re new to our office or haven’t had dental x-rays in a while, we will recommend getting x-rays of all your teeth, also called a “full mouth series”. Our doctors will examine your x-rays, teeth, and gums, checking for periodontal disease, tooth decay, and anything else that can have an effect on your oral health.

Personalized Treatment Plan

After your exam, our doctors will come up with a personalized treatment plan to fit your unique oral needs. Our treatment plans are detailed outlines of recommended dental care that include a timeline and price reference for each procedure.

Options & Alternatives

Everyone’s smile is different, and as a result, no two treatment plans will be exactly the same. We will make sure to educate you on all of your available treatment options, and answer any questions you may have, so you can choose the treatment that fits your needs and budget.

Appointments & Follow-Ups

If you’re visiting our office for a dental emergency, we’ll do everything we can to ensure you get the treatment you need as soon as possible, we may even be able to offer same-day appointments. For non-emergencies, we’ll schedule your next appointment after your cleaning and exam. We’ll work with you to make sure your next visit fits in with your schedule.

Root Canals

"Root canal" has become a scary term for dental patients to hear, but the benefits of the procedure and advances in dental technology have made it much less "scary". Local anesthetics and proper pain medications allow the procedure to be performed with little to no pain. There may be some soreness following the procedure, but this is normal. Over the counter painkillers are usually enough to relieve any pain afterwards, but one of our doctors may prescribe medication if they believe it is needed.

Root canal procedures will relieve you from pain caused by the infection allowing you to enjoy all the foods you love without any pain from heat, cold, or biting too hard.

What To Expect At Your Visit

X-Rays & Exam

Before proceeding with any treatment, one of our dentists will examine your mouth and any x-rays to diagnose the cause of your toothache. If the cause turns out to be because of an infection, your doctor will determine the extent of the damage and decide if a root canal is the most effective way to treat the problem

Local Anesthesia & Removing Infected Pulp

To start off the procedure your dentist will numb the gums and treatment site with local anesthesia. Once the treatment area is numb, your dentist will begin removing any decayed material beginning with the enamel. They will continue towards the center of the tooth, and clear any infected pulp from inside the tooth. Once the interior of the tooth’s canals have been thoroughly cleaned, the area is flushed with disinfectant to eliminate any remaining bacteria

Fill Tooth & Possible Crown

After all of the decay is removed we will fill the space left with a rubber-like material that supports the inside of the tooth to maintain its structure. Depending on how much enamel was removed during the procedure, the appearance and function of the tooth will be restored with either a filling or a dental crown

Follow-Up

If you need a crown to restore your tooth, we will place a temporary crown on until our lab completes your permanent crown. We will schedule you to come back to get your permanent crown approximately 2 weeks after your original appointment

Extraction

Damaged or decayed teeth can potentially cause major problems, such as infections, and need to be removed before the infection can spread. We will do our best to save your teeth but sometimes extractions are necessary for your overall health. Extractions can range from a single tooth to removing four teeth at once. Our doctors perform extraction with careful precision to ensure that, no matter how many teeth are to be extracted, the procedure will be pain-free.

What To Expect At Your Visit

Local Anesthesia

To ensure you feel no pain or discomfort during the procedure, your dentist will start by using local anesthesia on and around the extraction site

Lossening & Removing the Tooth

Using specific dental tools, your dentist will slowly and gently begin to loosen the tooth from the socket and gradually pull the tooth

Cleaning and Sutures

After the tooth has been completely removed, your dentist will clean and disinfect the area. Sutures will then be placed on the extraction site to ensure proper healing

Healing & Aftercare

Once the procedure is complete, we will provide you with a set of instructions to help your mouth heal as quickly as possible. We will call you within a week to make sure the extraction site is healing properly

Same-Day Emergencies

If you’re experiencing pain or discomfort from a toothache or dental injury, we will do our best to get you in immediately for an emergency visit. Our main goal is to relieve you from any dental pain you may have, and get you back to a healthy smile. Emergencies can happen unexpectedly, that is why we offer same-day emergency appointments, so you can get the care you need when you need it
